Desert Wind Pintos
Desert Wind was originally began during 1991 in Bloomington Indiana and is now located in South Carolina. The farm was founded on "old fashioned" values, where integrity and trust-worthiness actually mattered. We're very pleased to be able to say that 20 years later, the same values are still the guidelines for how we do business each day. Every encounter is of value to us, no matter how big or how small the question or sale might be. You are never just another account to us. You become our extended family and we pledge to always do our best to help you, if we can do so.
Desert Wind now specializes in the "Peacocks of the Equestrian Show World"....PINTO SADDLEBRED HORSES. We are very fortunate to stand the homozygous tobiano pinto saddlebred stallion, El Dorado Spitfire (aka Flash who is shown in the picture above). He is a rare buckskin pinto saddlebred. There are less than 0.05% of registered saddlebreds in the United States (as of April 4, 2010), that are this unique and beautiful color! He is already a ROM winner in halter on the Pinto Show Circuit, with many English Pleasure under saddle points earned as well.
Flash joins our 3 pinto saddlebred broodmares and our purebred arabian broodmare; the homozygous tobiano black and white pinto mare Dawning of Aquarius, our equally rare colored palomino and white pinto mare Suzanna's Gold Bourbon Jones, our chestnut and white pinto beauty Indian Amber and our regally bred bay arabian mare Raving Rose.
Want a unique color? We definitely have that! Want quality and athletic ability? We definitely have that too! Color without quality means nothing in our books! It's been that way from day one and will always continue to be that way.
